3i sweetens Enterprise terms

UK-headquartered private equity firm 3i has submitted a sweetened £486m (€721m) offer for maintenance and support services firm Enterprise.

London-listed Enterprise rebuffed a £462m offer from the buyout firm in January. An independent committee, led by non-executive directors Nick Woollacott and Alistair Hetherington, said it rejected 3i's initial 575p a share proposal because it undervalued the group. The committee has yet to lend its approval to the latest bid.
