$50bn US property investor strikes deal to enter Europe

New York-based Clarion Partners takes majority stake in European logistics specialist

A US property investor with $50bn in assets under management has signed a deal to enter Europe by taking a stake in a regional real estate investment fund manager.

New York-based Clarion Partners has acquired a majority shareholding in Gramercy Europe, which specialises in logistics and industrial assets. The value of the investment was not disclosed.
