Aberdeen increases assets to £21bn

Aberdeen Asset Management, one of the main players in the split capital investment trusts scandal, boosted its asset assets under management by 3.2% to £21.1bn (€31bn) in the six months to August 31, helped by demand for Asia Pacific equities.

The firm won net new business worth £2bn, including £870m from standalone mandates and £833m of net inflows to the group's open-end funds.
