Aberdeen Standard Investments is investing $13m in a new insurer in Singapore, coming in as a minority shareholder behind Michael Spencer’s IPGL investment company.

The Scottish fund manager is acquiring a roughly 5% stake in Singapore Life, it said in a statement on January 15.
