Abingworth Management, one of the most established European private equity investors in the life sciences sector, has hired Joe Anderson to manage its portfoio of quoted investments.

Anderson will be based in Abingworth's headquarters in London and joins from First State Investments, a subsidiary of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, where he founded and headed its global health and biotechnology fund.
