Activist Sherborne takes 5% stake in Barclays

Sherborne Investors, run by the high-profile activist Edward Bramson, has taken a stake of more than 5% stake in UK bank Barclays

Sherborne, which typically buys stakes in companies it believes are underperforming before pushing for change, revealed its acquisition of 5.16% of voting rights in a statement to the London Stock Exchange on Monday.
