Aim appoints first non-UK adviser

Aim, the London Stock Exchange's market for small, high-growth companies, has appointed its first non-UK based nominated adviser, or nomad.

The exchange has granted US Bancorp Piper Jaffray Capital Markets, a US investment bank, nomad status, meaning it can manage Aim listings. The appointment is part of a drive by the UK market to attract foreign companies.
