Allianz adds to private credit team in Germany

Insurance-owned asset manager is building a second continental European base for its private debt business

Allianz Global Investors has hired a new chief for its private debt business in Germany, giving it a second “sizeable base” in continental Europe in addition to its existing presence in France.

Adrian Grammerstorf, formerly a financial-sponsors banker at UniCredit, has joined Allianz in Munich to head up the insurance-owned asset manager’s mid-market debt investment operation in German-speaking Europe.
