Apax and Permira raise £191m from Inmarsat

A group of private equity and industry investors has raised £238m (€350m) in the first offering of shares in UK satellite operator Inmarsat since its flotation in June.

Private equity firms, Apax Partners and Permira, raised about £95m each through the sale of 60 million shares, while Comsat Investments, a subsidiary of US defence company Lockheed Martin, got £47.6m from the sale of 15 million shares.
