Apax makes first solo investment in India

Apax Partners has made its debut independent investment in India after taking an 11% stake in the country's first private healthcare chain.

Apax paid $100m (€73m) for the stake in Apollo Hospitals Group, which was founded by local entrepreneur Dr Prathap Reddy in 1983 when he set up a private hospital in Chennai.
