Ashmore Group reports pretax profit up 27%

Ashmore Group said that pretax profit for fiscal 2021 rose after the company booked lower costs, and that it was looking to fiscal 2022 with confidence.

The FTSE 250-listed company, which focuses on emerging markets, said that for the year ended June 30 pretax profit was £282.5m ($390.8m) compared with a pretax profit of £221.5m for fiscal 2020 and consensus of £237.1m, taken from FactSet and based on six analysts' forecasts.
