Asset management implosion to get worse

Equity analysts' predictions of a collapse in the asset management industry have worsened in the last six weeks, with analysts at UBS saying this morning they anticipate a 50% reduction in UK fund managers' profits.

Last month Goldman Sachs' analysts published figures, their most recent, which said profits would fall an average of 25% between 2007 to 2009.
