Asset managers eye up another Woodford mandate

Mandate to run £258m Income Focus fund — a smaller cousin to Woodford’s sunken flagship — could be up for grabs

Asset managers have begun to circle Neil Woodford’s Income Focus fund — a smaller cousin to his sunken flagship — after its administrator said it was considering offers to take it on.

Woodford took the decision to close the door on his crisis-hit investment management firm earlier this month, after the administrator, Link Fund Solutions, said the £3.1bn Equity Income fund, which accounted for most of Woodford’s revenue, would be wound down.
