Business secretary Kemi Badenoch has given audit watchdog the Financial Reporting Council a new mandate to boost the competitiveness of the UK economy.
“The FRC should contribute to promoting the competitiveness and growth of the UK economy, embedding its growth duty across its work,” a 22 November letter from Badenoch to new FRC chief executive Richard Moriarty said.
