Aventis sells Rhodia shares to Crédit Lyonnais

Aventis, the French pharmaceutical firm, has sold a €97.4m ($106.2m) stake in Rhodia, the chemicals firm, to Crédit Lyonnais in an innovative structured deal following the completion of its buyback of an exchangeable bond into Rhodia shares.

Aventis retains an exposure to the Rhodia share price for a period of up to five years.
