A global credit strategist, who joined Axa only a year ago, has left the asset manager to join a private bank

A well-regarded global credit strategist at Axa Investment Managers has left the company, a year after he joined, to manage assets at a private bank.

Mondher Bettaieb Loriot was responsible for ensuring consistency in portfolios' positions across different regions, according to a spokeswoman for Axa, who said he will be replaced soon. He joined Axa in May last year to take on the role, which was created as part of a new structure in the company's fixed-income team under its head Theo Zemek. Loriot left last month.
