AXA chairman defends use of derivatives

The derivatives industry has received a welcome vote of confidence from Donald Brydon, chairman of AXA Investment Managers and chairman of the UK's Financial Services Practitioners Panel.

Speaking at the international derivatives conference co-sponsored by the London-based Futures and Options Association (FOA) and the Washington DC-based Futures Industry Association (FIA), Brydon spoke out about the benefits of derivatives and their important role in mitigating and diversifying risk.
