Axa Investment Managers added more than €30bn (£24.8bn) in assets last year, driven by higher inflows across its alternatives businesses and third party clients.

The Paris-headquartered group, which is on the verge of being taken over by BNP Paribas, saw assets under management rise to €879bn at the end of December, up €35bn on the previous year, but still below a record €887bn in 2021.
