Axa in talks to buy Crédit Agricole private equity assets

Crédit Agricole has entered into exclusive negotiations with Axa, the French insurer, over the sale of a €600m ($723m) portfolio of private equity assets.

The move is part of Crédit Agricole's reorganisation of its €2.5bn private equity portfolio in the wake of last year's merger with Crédit Lyonnais.
