Axa Private Equity closes second leveraged buyout fund at €400m

Axa Private Equity, the Paris-based private equity arm of Axa Investment Managers, has closed its second leveraged buyout fund with a total of €400m ($344.2m) in commitments.

Axa, which plans to invest its latest fund primarily in European leveraged buyouts, had been raising capital for the fund since October 2000. A spokesperson for the private equity house said that investors in the fund were equally distributed between the United States and Europe.
