BA Capital Partners buys Janton in first Finnish take private for two years

BA Capital Partners, Bank of America's buy-out arm, has bought Janton, the quoted Finnish newspaper publisher, for €130m ($162m) in what will be Finland's first public-to-private buy-out since 2001.

BA Capital Partners has acquired 93.7% of the shares in Janton with an offer of €13 per share. It said it would launch a mandatory-sale offer for the remainder of the shares at the same price in early next year.
