BAM wins Danish mandate despite senior staff losses

Baring Asset Management has won a $44m (€38.7m) mandate from Lån & Spar Rationel Invest, a Danish fund firm, depsite the recent departures of senior staff.

BAM will manage $44m in global, European and technology funds for the Danish firm. The brief adds to the $4m US equity fund it manages for Lån & Spar, which has total assets of €200m. BAM's brief is to outperform the benchmarks in each of the regions or sectors by 2% over a rolling three year period. The benchmarks are MSCI World, MSCI Europe, S&P500 and MSCI Technology.
