Akram Zaman is leaving the investment bank’s ECM team after nine years

A top equity deals banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch is leaving to join Israel Englander’s $38bn hedge fund Millennium Management.

New York-based Akram Zaman, global head of BAML’s equity syndicate team, will join Millennium in July and take up a similar role, according to people familiar with the matter.
