Banks pitch for roles amid housebuilding shake-up

Two of the biggest housebuilders in the UK are shaking up their advisory line-up ahead of further consolidation in the sector.

Barratt Developments, which bought rival Wilson Bowden for £2.2bn (€3.3bn) this year, is reviewing its banking and advisory team, while Taylor Wimpey, formed out of the recent £3bn merger between Taylor Woodrow and George Wimpey, will invite banks to pitch in a beauty parade this week.
