Barclays appoints former Goldman partner as group treasurer

Barclays, the UK banking group, has appointed Chris Grigg, a former Goldman Sachs partner, as its new group treasurer, filling the vacancy left by Peter Goshawk who quit in July.

Grigg, previously co-head of financial institutions in the European financing group at Goldman, left the US bank in summer 2004 after 19 years. He was made a partner 2000.
