Two months after the collapse of the landmark London Stock Exchange/Deutsche Börse merger cost bankers millions in lost fees, two Barclays executives have some reason to cheer.

A team of Barclays bankers – including Kunal Gandhi and Matthew Smith  – have advised the LSE on its acquisition of a suite of bond indices and an analytics platform from Citigroup, according to a person familiar with the matter.
