Barclays lands role advising Bank of Montreal on F&C deal

Barclays has landed a role as financial adviser to Bank of Montreal on its acquisition of UK asset manager F&C, adding to the bank's credentials in financial institutions M&A, a business in which it has been growing market share in recent years.

The UK bank was named as a financial adviser alongside the Canadian lender's investment banking arm, BMO Capital Markets, in a stock exchange announcement this morning.
