Barclays has hired Credit Suisse dealmaker Cathal Deasy as part of a shake-up of its investment bank, just three months after he was handed a bigger role at the Swiss lender.

The veteran dealmaker is set to co-head Barclays' global banking division alongside former Morgan Stanley banker Taylor Wright, according to a memo sent to staff seen by Financial News.
