Barclays hires from Goldman Sachs for corporate broking role

Competition is heating up in a very British corner of investment banking

Barclays has poached a banker from Goldman Sachs for its corporate broking business, as banks across the City staff up their teams that serve listed UK companies.

Laura Klaassen has joined the UK lender from Goldman Sachs as a director in corporate broking. She reports into Kunal Gandhi, head of corporate broking at Barclays.
