Barclays recruitment drive continues after CSFB staff stay put

Credit Suisse First Boston's successful defence against Barclays Capital's bid for its fixed income team means that other firms will now be considering the committment of their own New York-based staff.

Barclays Capital and CSFB confirmed on Thursday that all the US-based fixed income staff who had been targeted by Barclays - at least 30 - were staying at CSFB having been offered anything from pay rises to profit-sharing by their existing employer.
