Barclays Tuesday named Crawford Gillies as non-executive director and a member of the board remuneration committee from May 1.

Gillies will succeed John Sunderland as chairman of the committee at a date to be agreed on, consistent with ensuring a smooth transition, the 300-year-old bank and financial services provider said.
