Barclays names new head of wealth in Hong Kong

The UK bank's wealth and investment management division has hired a former Goldman Sachs executive to lead its business in the region

The private banking arm of Barclays has hired a wealth manager from Goldman Sachs to lead its business in Hong Kong, a region with a rapidly-growing pool of wealthy individuals.

Rickie Chan has been appointed as market head for Hong Kong in Barclays' wealth and investment management division. A spokesperson for Barclays said Chan has replaced Joanna Chu, who left the in March.
