Barr quits Deutsche AM as Hughes begins cuts

Dean Barr has quit as chief investment officer at Deutsche Asset Management following the start of a cost-cutting programme by chief executive Tom Hughes.

It is understood that the two men disagreed about certain aspects of rationalisation.
