A year in IPOs: the best and worst performing flotations of 2010 (so far)

Fashion retailer Supergroup has soared more than 200% since listing while Promethean World has fallen 70%

European initial public offerings have on average outperformed the market this year, with the average share price rise in a $100m-plus flotation standing at 18.3% for the year-to-date.

While the past 12 months has been a challenging period for initial public offerings - with many large deals getting pulled because of jitters in the sovereign markets - investors that have backed transactions have on the whole been rewarded.
