Bidders for CBA's Asian fund assets set year end deadline

Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) is hoping for a speedy resolution to its sale of $1.5bn (€1.67bn) in insurance and fund management assets in south east Asia.

The bank has asked prospective bidders to submit expressions of interest in CMG Asia to adviser Credit Suisse First Boston by the end of December. CBA wants to negotiate the sale during the first quarter of the year.
