Linux, the open source operating system for servers that is free to users, could save financial services firms as much as 90% of the cost of running applications.

Many securities firms and banks – including Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers – are using it across a range of applications.
