Proponents of digital currencies have accused Jamie Dimon of being naïve and out of touch with reality after the JPMorgan chief executive launched a scathing attack on bitcoin.

Speaking at a Barclays banking conference in New York on Tuesday, Dimon described bitcoin as a "fraud" that will "blow up," saying he would fire any traders buying or selling the cryptocurrency.
