BlackRock unveils new head of corporate governance

BlackRock has drafted in Amra Balic as its new head of corporate governance and responsible investment, or CGRI, for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In this role, Balic will be responsible for leading BlackRock's CGRI efforts in London, covering engagement and voting in Emea on behalf of the firm's clients. Balic arrives from Standard & Poor's, where she was a director in European corporate credit ratings, responsible for corporate governance into the credit ratings process.
