Blackstone adds $1.1bn to European property funds

Blackstone’s Property Partners Europe fund is part of a strategy using longer time horizons and perpetual capital

Blackstone Group has added more than $1.14bn to its private equity strategy focused on longer-term holdings of European property, a 56% gain in just a year, regulatory filings show.

Blackstone Property Partners Europe fund and two related vehicles have raised more than $3.17bn, according to Securities and Exchange Commission filings dated Monday. The fund reported $1.64bn in capital raised about a year ago, and combined with related vehicles, the total stood at about $2.03bn at that point.
