Blackstone profits jump 36%

Blackstone’s second-quarter profit rose as its private equity and real estate holdings appreciated, The Wall Street Journal reports.

For the period ended June 30, the New York-based private equity firm’s earnings rose to $342.8m, or 51 cents a share, from $198.6m, or 30 cents a share, a year earlier.
