BNP Paribas picks new head of US investment bank

José Placido will become chief executive of CIB in the Americas on 1 June

BNP Paribas has promoted its global head of financial institutions to run all of its corporate and institutional banking businesses in the US.

The French bank said in a statement that José Placido will become chief executive of CIB in the Americas on 1 June, replacing Bob Hawley, who will become vice-chair in the region.
