Boisterous induction for F&C's Bramson at first AGM

The new chairman of F&C Asset Management faced down a number of rowdy shareholders, who were demanding to know what direction the firm was now taking

The new chairman of F&C Asset Management was put to the test today at a rowdy annual general meeting, as voters questioned the direction of the company he wrested control of in February.

Edward Bramson, founder of Sherborne Investors, took control of F&C in early February, ousting incumbent chairman Nick MacAndrew. After 90 days of getting to know his new firm, the New York-based investor faced approximately 100 shareholders in his first AGM as chairman.
