Bond market players eye Italian corporate renaissance

Debt market participants are divided on prospects for Italian corporate bonds after a disastrous year when supply plunged more sharply than in any other European country.

Italian companies raised only €8bn ($9.5bn) in the international bond markets last year, barely 40% of the €20.5bn supply of 2004, according to Fitch, the rating agency.
