Broking fees drive GFI to record profits

GFI Group, the US-listed money broker, saw profits rise from $5.1m (€4.1m) in the three months to June 30 last year to a record $16.7m this year, driven principally by a 47% increase in broking fees.

Revenues rose 51% to $140.3m over the same period.
