Brooks Macdonald says clients are flocking to cash in uncertain markets

Assets have ticked up at the leading wealth manager, but investor appetite is likely to remain subdued

Wealth manager Brooks Macdonald said more clients are choosing the safety of cash amid volatile markets, as it reported a slight uptick in assets during its latest results.

The London-based group posted positive net flows in the latest quarter of £0.1bn, but this was "partly offset by the impact of declining markets," according to a stock market update on 13 July.
