Buffett cuts dollar hedge

Warren Buffett, believed by many to be the world's greatest investor, has cut his hedge against the US dollar falling this year and increased his purchasing of stakes in companies overseas.

Berkshire Hathaway, Buffett's investment firm, started reducing its direct position in currencies last year. It offset that change by buying equities whose prices are denominated in other foreign currencies and earn a large part of their profits internationally.
