A US firm focused on the growing market of financing lawsuits in return for a slice of the potential winnings has ramped up its coverage in a new market: Asia.

Burford Capital, a New York-based litigation funder that counts Fidelity and Invesco among its backers, said on Thursday that it has opened an office in Hong Kong and formed a new Asia-focused advisory board.
