Calls for clarity on new business travel rules: Execs ‘can’t predict the future’

High-value business travellers will be exempt from quarantine under the new rules

Business group the Institute of Directors has called for clarity on new travel rules that give high-value executives the right to skip Covid-19 quarantine restrictions in exceptional cases.

The new rules were announced on 3 December by transport secretary Grant Shapps, allowing senior executives from the UK and overseas to travel without self-isolating for 14 days in certain circumstances.
