Candover Investments, a UK mid-market private equity firm, has hired Laura Marangione from French investment bank BNP Paribas as it prepares to open its Italian office.

Marangione handled mergers and acquisitions at BNP Paribas' Milan office. She follows Aldo Maccari, now head of Candover's fledgling Italian operation, who also worked at BNP Paribas' Milan office.
