Cantor makes senior fixed income hire

Cantor Fitzgerald, the US broker, has signaled its ambitions to expand its fixed income business with the hire of Irving Goldman, former head of fixed income sales and trading at Credit Suisse First Boston.

Goldman has joined Cantor as president of its debt capital markets. Earlier this year Cantor said it wanted to broaden its fixed income business, and specifically targeted the high yield bond and distressed debt business.
